Once a month a make this special treat: sourdough babkas. Sweet and naturally leavened cake-bread with different fillings twisted inside. This one is chocolate hazelnut which includes dark chocolate, hazelnut butter and hazelnut pieces 😋🍫

Other flavours are cinnamon or poppyseed! More to come.

Round sourdough country loaf fresh from my bread oven. Made with unbleached white flour and whole wheat bread flour, all organic and Canadian. Variations include mini loaves with walnuts and normal size loaves with walnuts and cranberries (it goes well with walnuts!)
