From sprawling markets to family style meals that proved the absolute BEST way to eat, this trip has satisfied my craving for fresh and available food.
This is what I dream of for Nova Scotia… we have the means of production. We need to celebrate our local food system in a way that allows it to give back. Fresh bread around every corner, seasonal markets over flowing with produce. Local butchers and dry beans by the kilo. We can and must find a way to build resilience for every step of the food system. From farmers to producers to customers; we can all cooperate to fill our lives with food abundance we just need to be able to see it first.
