Hi everyone! The new owners speaking, hope we are all enjoying these last few warm weather days :)

First would like to thank you all for the great feedback we received through the comment cards the last week at the window, it's great to see such passion for what Baked & Battered has offered each of you, I know we couldn't agree more with the menu favorites that were mentioned! The draw will be held on Nov 1st, best of luck!

Happy Thanksgiving!

And Thank You…

I’ve wanted to post something for a few days now - but the words have escaped me. It’s our last day of the season, and of our time here at Baked & Battered. This decade has taught us the value of our connections to this community and it’s people; our local friends and our seasonal ones alike.

So we wanted to say thank you to everyone who’ve supported us over the years. You’ve kept us going and inspired us. And thank you to all of our amazing staff teams who, since the start, have helped us do what we do and have been a part of our “family”. It’s been a tremendous run.

And now it’s time to turn over the keys to Taylor and Veronica who will shepherd our busy little restaurant into its next iteration. We can’t wait to be one of their first customers! This page will be live for a bit longer as they take it over and continue to communicate their plans to you (Yes! They plan to be open through the winters!)

Wow! That sure has been some rain! But should be clearing up sometime tomorrow; our first day opening under the new Public Health requirements…

Please note that there is no need for ID and proof of vaccination for our Patio, takeout window, or to use our restroom, BUT we DO need it if you would like to be seated in our Boathouse Dining Room.

Before entering the Boathouse, staff will be required to see a valid government issued ID, as well proof of 2nd vaccination. The second vax needs to be at least 14 days prior.

Staff are already a bit nervous about people’s reaction to this new requirement, so please be kind and understanding as they do their job. They will do their utmost to be sure you have a great experience with us!

So that bittersweet time has come: we’ve accepted an offer to purchase Baked & Battered! It has been 10 years of magic: joy, fear, love, excitement, and a growing sense of home in a community that we love. We’ve been touched by so many beautiful people along this path and we are grateful.
Grateful, still, that our baby is being embraced by another family with the knowledge, vision and skills to carry it on and, we believe strongly, will take it to the next level. Amazing things are yet to come for Baked & Battered - and that’s with no small thanks to our brilliant real estate agent, Hilary Morrin ( www.morrinrealty.com ) who held our hands and shepherded us through this journey. Her skill is unmatched as was her ability to sooth our anxiety and answer our million questions with patience and grace!
We get to finish our season with our crew through Thanksgiving. So we better see your smiling mug again! We have a lot of heartfelt thank-you’s and goodby’s to offer between now and then. ❤️

What an amazing Summer! Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us through our second challenging COVID Summer. It takes a community to support every single business - and you showed up. Such gratitude, to YOU, as well as to our tireless staff who worked under stressful conditions with poise and laughter.

We’re open TODAY (Monday), and the following are our new daily hours…

SUNDAY - TUESDAY: 8am-4pm
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: CLOSED
FRIDAY & SATURDAY: 8am - 7pm

What a season!! Is it just us or is Haliburton the place to be this Summer? It’s been a blast seeing our summer friends and meeting so many new ones.

But we need a hand on our patio bussing tables and stocking inventory - A simple, active, and fun job for the next few weeks. Interested? Know anyone? Let us know!

Our family came to visit!! And the patio was hoppin’.

And on Friday, we’ll open the boathouse to indoor dining again (with required distancing, of course!). But it’s feeling like things are gradually returning to normal! Woo hoo!!

Please remember that we do ask folks to wear their mask at the window when ordering - just to keep our unvaccinated kids safe!
