We’ve just returned from a quick trip to St Andrews, NB for the second Luxor Shriners Golf Tournament.

Brett was invited to do the ceremonial opening tee off as a Patient Ambassador again this year. ⛳️

If you’re new here- our son Brett became a patient of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal when he was 6 years old. When Brett was 12, he had two major surgeries on his legs. Both his legs (at the femurs) were broken and then adjusted so that his hips didn’t rotate as drastically inward as they had previously.

The medical team, as well as the Shriners from Philae (NS) and Luxor (NB) temples were so wonderful to work with. The care and compassion we received was top notch all around.

This golf tournament is a fundraiser to help support and raise funds to help support children and their families travelling to receive care from one of the Shriners Hospitals.

Shriners operate 10 Hospitals throughout North America which provide very special treatments and surgical services to children suffering from a variety of both common and rare diseases and orthopaedic problems.

The local Shriners in each Province and State provide the transportation of these children and usually one parent or guardian to our hospitals at no charge.
