I don't usually do this, but I'm giving you a sneak peek that you will ABSOLUTELY want to get in on!

Tomorrow only (Aug 21) at the Grand Forks BC Farmers Market, I have a few verrrrry special items for you, but only a few so if you want one of these beauties, email me at [email protected] and let me know because you won't see them again.

6" MINI CAKES $35/ea:

German Chocolate Cake with Vegan Caramel (GF, DF) (3 available)- this sold out immediately, it was incredible.

Perfect Carrot Cake with Vegan Cream Cheese Icing (GF, DF) (5 available) - my son's grandma HATES carrot cake and couldn't stop eating mine. Yep, it's that good.

Raspberry Curd with Vegan Vanilla Buttercream (GF, DF) (1 available)- this ones a show stopper. Homemade raspberry curd? OMG!!!!

Like everything else, these will freeze well for up to 3 months, and are honestly to DIE FOR!

It’s about to be your lucky day! Magnus (my son) has requested me to make you his very FAVOURITE cookie: Sweet Nothings. 

If you’ve had French macarons, these cookies are like the tops of them. Fluffy and chewy like a chocolate meringue with ground walnuts instead of almonds. Thank me later. 

Also, he has worked really hard to make you homemade organic lemonade and squeezed all the lemons himself. So make sure you come by to try some!

Quick reminder that these are the last few weeks of Bliss Eats and I rotate most things each market. If there’s a favourite, come and get ‘em now as it will likely be the last time you’ll see them this year.

I’ve got some exciting gluten free yumminess coming your way, including 3 new items. 

Today you’ll find Blue Me Away Mini Cakes (my son and I picked the blueberries for this bright lemony blueberry cake) AND Almond Croissant Cake with fabulous thick almond frangipane filling. Both are amazing and I can’t wait for you to try them. 

In ADDITION, I went kind of crazy. 

I have so many wonderful things from the farmers markets to use up so I made fresh vegan pesto. 

I marinated beautiful cherry tomatoes. 
And then I made a gorgeous focaccia that’s proofing right now to make...

Vegan Pesto Focaccia Pizza with Marinated Cherry Tomatoes and Vegan Feta. 

DAMN. SO GOOD. 

I will have limited quantities, so get there early. 

But, honestly I won’t be sad if there’s some left for me. haha

I've got some exciting news!

Friday I'll be driving up to Vancouver to run my very first half-marathon!

Although I've been running pretty regularly since I was 13, this is my very first race.
As an adult, I've consistently run 10km almost daily.

However, I've never been interested in running further or faster, or changing anything really, because I've always seen it as a part of my mental health routine - and I'm not particularly competitive.

This spring, I decided to change things up, and there's nothing that builds confidence like doing hard things, pushing your percieved limits, and gaining mastery over something new.

This is my little mountain to climb, and l'm scared-xcited to do it. There's going to be a lot of people, it's a route I'm unfamiliar with, and I have no idea what I'm doing. But I'm doing it and I can't wait to report back next week that I DID IT!

What that means, is that although I will be at the Farmers Market tomorrow, I won't be there on Friday.

If you were hoping to have things for the weekend, grab them tomorrow. Everything freezes beautifully, so no worries there, and there's so many delicious things to choose from!

I LOVE blueberries. Maybe it's the Finn in me.

A favourite pasttime of Finnish people is foraging. They forage for mushrooms, raspberries, cloudberries, blueberries, lingon berries and I'm sure a bunch more things that I don't even know about.

One of my fondest memories is visiting my grandparents at their summer home and foraging for blueberries in the forest.

The bushes there are closer to the ground than here, and the berries are smaller and so delicious! Even more delicious when you picked them yourself. 🙂
