Fort McMurray Doula Association Serving the community of Fort McMurray since 2008

We are a grassroots organization aimed at educating the families in our community through our free monthly prenatal classes. We are also a support system for all the doulas in town to ensure they have a sense of community and can continually learn and grow through workshops and further education.

Children are eligible for their measles vaccine (MMR-V) once they are 12 months of age and will require 2 doses to be protected. Babies 6-12 months of age may be eligible for an early MMR vaccine if you are travelling. But what about babies 0-6 months of age? Breastfeeding can help protect these babies who are unable to get the vaccine.
