Kittycat's Cakery, founded in 2016, is a small bakery, specializing in delicious, indulgent, & uniquely designed custom occasion cakes, gourmet cupcakes, cake pops, & other treats! We are located in East Hants, about 10 minutes from Elmsdale, but offer delivery to all areas of Nova Scotia. in Upper Nine Mile River, Nova Scotia, serves as the designated pick-up location. Our business hours are as f

Monday - Closed
(No pick-ups or delivery available. Any correspondence returned the following day.) Tues. 9am - 6pm (Pick-up times begin at 12 noon)
Wed. 9am - 6pm (Pick-up times begin at 12 noon)
Thurs. 9am - 6pm (Pick-up times begin at 12 noon)
Fri. 9am - 6pm (Pick-up times begin at 12 noon)
Sat. 9am - 6pm (Pick-up times begin at 10am)
Sun. 12pm - 5pm (Pick-up times begin at 11am)
(Studio open for special events, appointments, & scheduled pick-up only.) All orders are subject to availability; we recommend no less than 3 weeks notice for custom orders. A deposit is required to confirm your order; the amount due will be 50% of your total order cost. We are unable to hold dates without confirmation; your order is not confirmed nor will it be started unless confirmation deposit is received. All deposits are non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within one week or less of your order delivery or pick-up date, your deposit will be forfeited & is ineligible to be transferred to another date. (Conditions differ for wedding orders; these will be explained upon inquiry.) We welcome any reference photos & find it's helpful in understanding what you have in mind for your cake design. However, please note: Any product ordered from a photo of a product which was produced by any other person(s) or bakery can only be reproduced by Kittycat's Cakery and Confections as an interpretation of that product; it will not be an exact reproduction of the product in the photo. We are able to accommodate special dietary requirements (such as wheat alternative, dairy-free); please inform us of any requirements when making your initial inquiry. While we take every available precaution to keep raw ingredients separate, other products containing gluten, dairy, animal byproducts are prepared in the same space, therefore we cannot guarantee zero cross contamination.

When clients support our little business year after year, it means more than we can say. But one of the things we love most is getting to see families grow! We were honoured to be a part of this couple’s special day when they married, then again when they were expecting a little one, & this time: when little one turned 1! 😊

Inside this pretty pastel cake with cascading butterflies was our Timmy’s Run flavour: 4 layer of rich choco cake, filled with mocha ganache, & finished with coffee buttercream!

Alongside were floral cupcakes in matching pastels & butterflies, in our If You Like Pina Colodas flavour. (But we forgot to snap a pic before they left. 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Thank you for your support throughout 2025! Whether just grabbing a sweet treat at the market or entrusting us to create your perfect vision for that special milestone event, we appreciate every single one of you!

Once again, we will be taking off for the month of January 2026. This allows us time to refresh, plan, perform any upgrades/repairs to the studio.
We will be returning to on Valentine’s Day, Sat., Feb. 14 & look forward to helping make your occasions just a little more special in 2026

We love when a client begins with, “So, I have a weird request” because it’s likely to be the first of a particular theme. And we weren’t wrong! Our client requested the cake from (or Old School Runescape for those not in the know) with the scroll for the 29 year quest as the birthday wish! And it just happened to a game that we’re familiar with as some friends play! We added the ax & coins because we’re just a little extra like that!

Our first in the Jellycat theme! After putting on the smile & feets, we let out a little giggle! Such a cute, fun theme!

Inside was 6 layer of moist classic choco cake with a salted caramel filling!

A special cake for a milestone 80th birthday! A soft wash of blush pink compliments the statement gumpaste peony flowers, where a hummingbird delicately perches.

We thought the design was simple, but stunning & hope it fit the celebration perfectly.

What a beautiful day for a wedding!

was on the road to the beautiful Hillsdale House Inn in the picturesque Annapolis Valley.

The cake had all the rustic fall vibes with birch bark & cascading autumn leaves.

The top tier was even a taste of fall with our seasonal flavourite Pass the Apple Pie: vanilla cake, spiced apple filling, & cinnamon buttercream. The bottom tier was light & tangy Luscious Lemon: lemon cake, lemon curd filling; & lemon buttercream.

We’re always so honoured to be a small part of a couple’s big day & wish them a life together that is sweet & rich.

Custom orders typically require a minimum of two weeks notice, but it can never be too early to secure your date, especially as the holidays inch closer.
