Good morning everyone
I wanted to make a gentle post regarding cake requests.
AI and technology are everywhere in today’s world but lately I have been getting more and more customers sending me Chat GPT images of cakes they would like. These AI models often generate designs with surreal and often impossible concepts that are more of an illusion cake and I think it creates a big Al vs reality gap.
It creates unrealistic customer expectations and also puts a lot of pressure on me to compete with what I would call “fake” perfection.
It can be helpful when trying to explain your vision but there needs to be some very open understanding that these images are not real cakes and asking me to recreate them, especially given the prices I generally charge, is not realistic.
