Happy Monday to everyone. I hope you had an amazing smiley weekend.

As today is closing day, my heart is heavy as the time approaches for my departure home shortly. I am saying “see you” to many wonderful good people. I appreciate your trust and loyalty you have shown CYB. Hundreds of smiles have come from my baking which is all a baker should wish for. My heartfelt charity work for Tails to Tell, KCS Animal Rescue Society, AARCS, Wellspring Cancer Support, Crossfield & Madden Food Bank Society and most recently Woolliams Farms Rural Heart Foundation. It has been a pure pleasure being involved with these wonderful charities.

This week starting today, I am baking personal goodies to share. Today was my yummy shortbread cookies made with plant based butter. They will be enjoyed immensely. Stay tuned for what yumminess is being made including two new recipes.

Thank you so much with all my heart for your local support. You will be missed deeply.

Happy Wednesday everyone,

I hope your week has been bringing you good smiles.

I was honoured to have seen Jana this morning, such a great pleasure to see her one last time. She has been a huge fan of CYB. She saw my farewell post and sent me a very heartfelt message while ordering one last butterscotch confetti squares and 50 peanut butter balls. I am so excited for her and her family to enjoy these yumminess. I may have to figure out shipping to AB, lol.

As the time is nearing for the last pre-orders to be received by Saturday, August 8th, please send me a PM if you wish any of your favourites. I am very thankful for all your local support, it truly means the world to me.

I share a photo of my Uncle Allen and Aunt Violet along with a Friendship plaque that my Dad gave me that belonged to them. It has been with them for many decades. I share this with you as I always said my customers are not just customers but family to me.

Friendship: Friendship is a priceless gift that can’t be bought or sold. Its value is far greater than mountains made of gold. If you should ask God for a gift, be thankful if he sends you not diamonds, pearls or riches, but the love and trust of friends.

Happy Saturday everyone. I hope your long weekend has started with amazing smiles.

CYB is sad to announce that I will be moving back home to Nova Scotia the middle of August. It’s time to get back to my roots, be with my family and enjoy the country beauty of home.

I will be happy to make any last minute favourite yummy requests. Pre-orders will be accepted until Saturday, August 8th with the last pick up on Monday, August 10th.

It has been such a true heartfelt pleasure meeting you all, having the honour of making many special orders. CYB was just a dream until November 2024. I decided to see how locals enjoyed my country baking as like my Grandma said, magic happens in the kitchen. Thank you so much for your continuous local support, it has meant more than you know. I am excited for my new journey ahead and to open CYB in my hometown eventually. I have awesome future plans. If you’re ever in NS, please send me a message. I would love to see you as you weren’t customers but family to me.

Always keep the smiles going, small gestures go a long way to make the world a better place one step at a time.

Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope the week has been treating you amazingly.

CYB has been very busy baking the past 36 hours. I was honoured to be asked by Jenna at Woolliams Farms Ltd to donate yumminess to help raise funds for mental & health wellness for farmers. A very heartfelt cause. They are hosting their 4th annual golf tournament at the Hamptons Golf Club today that includes a silent auction. https://wflcharitygolf.rsvpify.com

This morning, Alie from Woolliams Farms picked up butterscotch confetti squares, Newfie chatterbox squares, gooey Rice Krispie squares, 2 boxes of peanut butter balls (25 in each) and 2 boxes of energy balls (20 in each). I am so excited for whomever has the top bid on each of these delicious treats as their tastebuds will be so happy. All made fresh with top ingredients.

Always be kind and remember small gestures go a long way to help support each other.

Who’s craving freshly made blueberry strudel muffins made with real blueberries??? 24 of these yumminess are cooling. 12 are a special order request. I am so excited for her and all the smiles to had.

CYB has 12 are for sell, to be picked up prior to 11:30 am tomorrow, Sunday June 26th or arrangements for Monday, June 27th can be made. They are 4 for $10.00 or if all 12 are wished for then it will be $25.00. My way eating a blueberry muffin, slice in half with butter on each side with a slight toasting and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Tastebud heaven I promise.

Happy Saturday everyone, I hope your weekend has been treating you wonderful.

Today is part 2 of a special birthday week. A very happy birthday to Devin, his wife Kassa enjoyed her special birthday mini raspberry cheesecakes on Tuesday. When I first met Devin a few weeks ago, he asked if I made one of his favourite treats so when I said yes he instantly ordered for his birthday today. CYB was honoured to make freshly made all from scratch Nanaimo bars. As Devin’s request, I used less coconut, added a tad more walnuts in the crust. I choose Chipits semi-sweet chocolate for the icing, using as less I could as part of his request. My kitchen was smelling so amazing last night. I am very excited for him and his family to enjoy this delicious classic treat.

Devin is an airplane mechanic so CYB’s birthday gift will bring many smiles. It doesn’t matter how old we are, Lego is so much fun and I know his kids will be excited to help him make his plane. I hope you are having an amazing birthday Devin.

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I hope your week has been with good smiles.

A huge happy birthday to Kassa today. She was the first to try CYB’s mini no bake white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Her response to them was so heartwarming, the best cheesecake she ever had. I had the honour to meet Devin, her Husband when he picked up her delicious treat.

CYB was blessed to make two of these delicious cheesecakes to celebrate her day. I did an extra special touch on one for her. As part of CYB’s birthday tradition, I gave sparklers for them to enjoy, their kids will love them. Devin requested a special birthday candle, I can’t wait to see it in motion. A truly beautiful young family they are. As she is a country girl, I found an adorable solar lantern with hummingbirds on it as gift from CYB.

Stay tuned on Saturday for Devin’s special day order as it is a first to CYB but an oldie to me as it a classic treat. I am very excited for them.

All sold out of the Tim Tarts, I am so excited for this new CYB customer, she is going to have a flashback of memories enjoying them. Thank you so much to her. (She asked for her name to remain anonymous. I have great respect for privacy so I was happy to oblige.)

CYB was a busy bee of a baker making mini blueberry cheesecakes and the old fashioned Tim Tarts. I am so excited for you all to enjoy these delicious goodies. Oddly enough, I don’t taste my baking, I go with heart and instinct as just like my Grandma. But…..just now I had to be the first to try the Tim Tarts. It was like a blast from the past with the same amazing “May I have another one” kind of treat. I have made many new recipes from all your special orders but this brings me country smiles knowing what I recreated.

Tomorrow noon and on, 3 x mini blueberry cheesecake will be ready for pick up. Try me special of $15.00 each, I again promise your tastebuds will be so happy. Please note, 4 are shown but 1 is already pre-sold.

I am looking forward to see who wants to be the first ones to have tastebud heaven tomorrow. There are 4 boxes of these yumminess, 4 Tim Tarts in each for a try me special or $10.00 each. They are just like Tim’s did, you will enjoy immensely. All freshly made.

Happy Friday everyone, it’s almost the weekend to enjoy good smiles with your friends & family.

CYB is back to trying new recipes. This yumminess was one of my childhood favourites, I was so sad when they removed it from the menu back in the 2000’s. I am excited to recreate this old fashioned delicious treat for you, Tim Tarts will be coming your way on Sunday. Please keep an eye out for my post with more details as they will be limited and I expect them to sell quickly. (Please note, the price in the picture is from Tim Horton’s menu back in the day).

I love hearing from customers who to CYB are family. This one in particular made me smile huge today when he told me that fresh fruit at a local store was on sale. Top ingredients are expensive to purchase to bake fresh & tasty. CYB is about smiles and tries to make my yumminess affordable. Thank you so much Robert for the sale tip & for the wonderful feedback on you & your family enjoying your delicious mini cheesecakes last night.

Happy Thursday everyone, I hope you have been enjoying the sunny weather.

I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Robert & his Grandson recently. Robert saw my Crossfield community forum post this past weekend introducing my mini cheesecakes. He pre-ordered four freshly made raspberry ones to enjoy with his family. I am so excited for their tastebuds. Thank you so much Robert for your first of many CYB’s yumminess.

I can make fresh flavours of raspberry, blueberry and strawberry. Sizes are 4” or 9”. 48 hours notice is requested.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the announcement of an oldie but yummy Tim Horton’s favourite. My tastebuds are already drooling.
