FRIDAY PIE DAY is a couple days away and we have a new pie!

Meet the offspring of two of our all time favourite pies, the rhubarb raspberry custard pie with a milk crumb topping!

This was the most highly requested flavour combo to date and like you, we thought it was an absolutely fantastic idea… and let me tell you after devouring a testing pie we can attest to it’s brilliance😋

We’re here in the season!

The outdoor markets are in full swing so that means our summer hours are too! We’re officially OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK!

We’re adding Sunday’s from 10-2pm starting from this Sunday, May 17th until mid fall (we’ll keep you posted on that date)☀️🥐

It’s wild and awesome to see the sunshine and be so busy. We’re super grateful that even though we had to start our social media over this winter, you’ve all been supporting us consistently.

Love love LOVE outdoor market season!☀️🥐🌺

We are just one of SO many incredible venders at the Comox Valley Farmers' Market . It’s really a one stop shop for all your produce, meats, eggs, bread, pastries and treats (😘), condiments, drinks, veggie starts and flowers!

The quality of growers and producers in the Valley are absolutely top notch (how lucky are we??).

Our stall is laden with alllll the sourdough and goodies today (since it’s what we do) and extra because tomorrow is Mum’s Day and we know how much joy our products bring to your celebration tables!

All summer long you’ll find us at the Exhibition Grounds in Courtenay, rain or shine on Saturday’s, and Sunday’s at the Campbell River Farmers market & Arts Faire (which is an absolutely banging market that is definitely not to be missed!).

Being a part of the local food security/economy is really important to us and we encourage you all to spend some of your dollars at your local farmers market. Plus it’s just lovely way to spend the morning and get to do your grocery shop outside!☀️🥐🌺🦋

MOTHERS DAY has us bringing back our HIGHLY sought after, raspberry custard pie with a milk crumb topping!!

We were thinking about mums/matriarchs/aunties and what we would want to make to spread the love this year, and it was hands down THIS PIE!

It’s everything. It’s bright, juicy, creamy and flaky all put together in a way that really says “I love, value, see and celebrate you!”… (psst… which is really all that most of us want).

Pick up will be on Friday and Saturday, and even though we’ll aim to have extras for grab-and-go, we highly recommend pre-ordering from our website honeygrovebakery.ca , phone 250.898.3304 or email [email protected]

We’re growing and looking to add some great people to our team!

Ideally we’re looking for one full time baker or apprentice baker who can do early mornings, and one full or part-time flex employee who can do both customer service at the retail shop and prep at our production bakery.

If you’re a super skilled person that doesn’t fit these spots, still get in touch because we’re flexible for anyone who’s looking long term and wanting to grow with us.

We have an awesome team of super kind, lovely, funny and hardworking people, so that’s the vibe we’re aiming to match. Low ego, focused, and the ability to show up consistently for your coworkers is what we need.

Wage for the early morning baker/apprentice baker is dependant on experience/skill level so range is $23-27 and the customer service/prep position range is $19-22 depending on experience/skill level.

We have a great benefit package for our full time employees and a range of other perks.

Friday Pie Day is bringing back a house favourite because we just got a load of organic rhubarb from our farmer friend!

If you didn’t guess already, it’s our rhubarb custard pie with a caramelized almond streusel😋

We’re not making piles of them so we don’t recommend snoozing on grabbing one.

PIE DAY FRIDAY is tomorrow and it might be the last week (for a bit) of my new favourite pie everrrrr🤤

Raspberry custard pie.

Every bite is like eating spring… but better. Layers of bright raspberry, creamy custard and the smooth crunch of the milk crumb all contained in our super flaky sourdough pie crust.

So yeah I’m going to leave it there because now I’m hungry! Enjoy the sunshine and see you soon soon🫶

We’re a little late to the punch on posting because we’ve been SO busy behind the scenes prepping for Easter and the outdoor markets that are around the corner, but we know you want to know what we’ve been making for you!!

Our pie this weekend is a raspberry custard pie with a milk crumb topping. This photo doesn’t do it justice because it was a snap of a test pie but imagine more raspberries 🤤

As always, we’ll have loads of our beloved sourdough hot cross buns. If you haven’t tried them we highly recommend it before they’re finished for the season.

We also have a new danish that we’re dying over these days. It’s raspberry lychee with a custard base and it’s wildly delicious.

Look out for our new carrot cake twice baked with our cream cheese icing... and I know I’ve probably missed things but we’re driving back from a big purchasing trip in Vancouver and we’re tired! Haha!
