Hello All,
As some of you may know, I've been working on an extra special project lately... growing our little boy! 💙
When I decided to start doing cakes again, we had been facing fertility struggles for 2.5 years, following losing our first son and second child, Tommy, at 22 weeks. I was starting to accept that it just wasn't in the cards for us. But life being life, said *surprise*... one week after I announced I was back 😂
I also work weekends, so I trudged through the first trimester juggling cake orders around my shifts at the restaurant. It was... exhausting. But I also had a lot of fun creating some special goodies for you.
All this to say, I am faced with the reality that juggling this side business with my other job and life with a 6 year old, a young dog and a baby on the way is getting tricky. On top of this is the nature of most birthday celebrations being on the weekend, and restaurant work being heavily weekend based, so it unfortunately doesn't align with my current responsibilities.
So once again, I'm sorry to say I am closing my books for now so that I can focus on taking care of myself and getting our house in order for this little one's arrival. This will transition into a hobby page for now where I will share any creative work I do, but I will be closed for orders going forward. Thank you for all your support and trusting me with your celebrations. Right now I don't know when or in what capacity I will be back, but I truly appreciate you being here.
