To our Valued Customers and Friends…
It is with many mixed emotions that we announce the sale of our building and the closing of Carman Bakery and Pastry Shop. After an incredible 17 years of serving this community, we have decided to move on to the next phase of our lives.
We emigrated to Carman in 2005 as a young family and have enjoyed working alongside our children and watching them grow into adults, start their own families and pursue their own careers. Likewise, we have lived alongside you through many good times and challenging times. We will always remember our valued customers, coffee regulars, and the memories we have created along the way.
As many of you are aware, the bakery had been shifting it’s focus these past few years. Being a small business nestled between larger cities certainly provided us with it’s share of challenges. Through the years it became clear that local business alone could not sustain the bakery, and this led us to shift to focus on wholesale accounts- with our bread being shipped across Canada and up North. Even though this is still profitable at this time, it is not how we had envisioned running this business in the long term, and thus we have decided we would rather slow our pace, and shift our focus elsewhere. We trust that our good Lord will guide us along this journey as we step into this new chapter of our lives.
The last day our doors will be open to the public is on July 15th.
We would like thank all past and present employees for helping us grow our bakery throughout the years. It would not have been possible without your dedication and commitment! To our friends and customers, we thank you both for your friendship and your support. It has been an honour and a pleasure to serve you!
