This has been an extremely difficult decision for me to make. However, it is one that I feel I need to make for myself, and my business.
Emma’s Bakehouse will now be completely order based. I will no longer be doing retail day to day. ☹️
I will still be baking in the same location and absolutely still be doing all orders; cakes, macarons, cookies, cupcakes, and cinnamon buns. 💗 and order pickup will also still be in the same location. 💌
As well as having our monthly flavours and adding a couple more things to the menu soon. 🥰
However, they will only be available by order. Although I have loved being able to see people everyday and interact with all of you, I’ve come to the conclusion that retail is no longer for me. Especially considering my business plan was not meant to focus on retail.
I’ve learnt a lot in the last months that i have been open. About looking at the big picture, figuring out what I need, and what’s best for the business long term. Even if sometimes it doesn’t make sense at first. Having the retail and trying to grow my order base has become too much for me at the moment.
I’ve had to reevaluate and make changes, of which this is one of.
Like I mentioned before I am still accepting orders of all sorts, and posting new flavours and menu items. 🤍
I will also be occasionally attending farmers markets throughout what we have left of the summer. As well as occasionally having pop-up days in the bakery. 🍪
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my business for the last few months. And I hope you continue to do so through orders, commenting on posts, or even just liking them.❤️❤️
On that note, however, I have partnered with someone and there will be something new opening in my storefront in the coming months. 👀
