A note from Dan 📝
this one pulled inspiration from summer barbecues with the family. My oldest daughter is a corn addict, and we pulled this classic Mexican favorite alongside some baby back ribs. Corn was just coming into season and we were working on some new summer menu items. The idea clicked, and after a couple iterations, this version was born!

Crazy how inspiration can never be forced. I always find spontaneous and natural ideas pan out to be the best ones.

We get questions all the time about what we do with our croissant trimmings. We add some to our next dough for flavour and strength & we make these monkey breads!

It’s a shame to waste such deliciousness. 🥐

I recently lost my Mother in-law to ALS. This viscous disease requires much more research and financial support. For that reason we are holding our 2nd annual ALS Society of Canada fundraiser at Terroir. 💜

We encourage anyone who can to visit us on Saturday as we are donating 100% of all revenue to ALS Canada on Saturday August 22nd. Heather and I started Terroir to contribute to a community and build a sense of place. Now we are using our platform to help others in their communities. This is the greatest gift.

✍️ People make all the difference. Honestly-running a business is less than half about the quality of your product. That must be a given. Most of your time and energy goes into how you treat people. How you make your team feel and the effort you put into supporting them. The experience and hospitality your customers recieve from you and your team. Focusing on these areas can make or break you.

In this day and age, it has to be more than a plate of food. There has to be a deeper reason why. Otherwise, the product is forgotten. What lasts is a story. How you made someone feel when they go through your experience.

At the core of this project has always been human interaction. Yes- local and sustainable products; but more-so the support of community, the drive to create a fulfilling workplace and a gracious customer experience.

This pursuit can never rest. It’s an infinite game.
I am honored, excited & driven to continue this pursuit every single day. Thanks to all who ride the wave that is Terroir Artisan Bakery | Sourdough & Croissant Pastry . Your support does not go unnoticed.
