We're a dough-tossing duo - one part social impact enthusiast, and one part mad scientist of flour. With a dash of s***k, a pinch of creative recipe testing

Dear breadX'ers,

We’re putting the starter down for a little winter snooze ... since breadX is moving!

We'll have one final bake in January before hibernating and then opening back up in mid-February, where we'll be baking up in Tuscany for pickup + delivery. Same dough, new neighbouhood :)

We’re taking a little long weekend breather next week, so there will be no bake days on Friday, May 16th or Tuesday, May 20th.

If you’d like bread for next week, the last chance to order is THIS Sunday by 4PM for a Tuesday pick-up/delivery. After that, we’ll be back to our regular schedule for Friday, May 23rd.

Every breadX loaf begins with thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and at the heart of it all is the flour. That’s why we partner with , a local, family-run mill that shares our passion for quality, sustainability, and artisan food.

What makes their flour special?
Unlike modern roller milling, stone-milling keeps the grain’s goodness intact, grinding the bran, endosperm, and germ together. This means richer flavour, better nutrition, and those healthy oils that make each bite more nourishing (and delicious). Plus, stone-milling preserves vital enzymes that activate during fermentation, helping make our bread easier to digest.
