Canadian Thanksgiving is here!
Thanksgiving is the start to the holiday season for many of us. A time to come together, gather with friends and family. Eat delicious food and spend time with those we love.

It’s a time to look forward to other holidays, like Halloween & Christmas!

I am grateful for my son, and thankful for my husband. I love my little family.

I am grateful for time spent with loved ones who are no longer with us. And thankful for all the time spent with loved ones who still are here.

Grateful for good health and thankful for enough wealth.

Grateful to the people I am connected to and thankful for your continued support.

It’s our wedding anniversary!
I’ll take any excuse to make a husband-appreciation post.
Mr. Kat’s cookies is a man of patience- he deals with a lot of big kitchen messes, a table strewn with used icing bags and me sneaking into bed a 2 or 3 am after decorating the next best set. And also sometimes a cranky wife the next day 🤪
But we also adventure together, and are raising our son, while learning alongside each other. He’s the best!

Of course I made cookies for our elopement! But you’ve probably seen those already.

Oops! I got so busy doing all the other tasks of running a birthday party, that I forgot to take photos of the cookies!

My MIL even asked me if I had photos and I said “yes” without even thinking.

Unfortunately, this is all that was left, so two designs are missing.
But that’s the sign of a good party, right?!🤪

Birthday parties were always a big deal for us growing up. My parents always made sure it was special, complete with themes, decorations, all the snacks/treats.

I’m not sure that I can’t make my son’s birthday’s better than mine, but I can try to make them just as special 💕

I made two birthday cakes too- a Dino theme for his family celebration, and a construction theme cake for his construction party.
When a toddler changes their mind about theme after you’ve committed to something else, you find a way to compromise 😂
