Our Story

Hello from Easthouses Cookie Company!

I’m Linda, the founder and head baker at Easthouses Cookie Company.

When I was 10 years old I made my first cook book which I gave to my mom as a gift. It was full of baking recipes that I had copied from magazines onto lined paper and then put them into a doutang (10 year olds are not too concerned about plagiarism). I’m not sure if she ever made any of those recipes but it started a passion about baking which has continued throughout my life. My favourite thing to bake has always been cookies, with most of my time trying to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie. Many (many) years later I have now figured out the ideal amount of butter, sugar, flour, vanilla and a few other secret ingredients to end up with a perfect thick and chewy chocolate chip cookie.

BUT WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM??
