PAYMENT OPTION UPDATE.

I am very sorry to have to post this, and to have to change the way I feel about the “honour system”.

First of all, I think it’s important to understand what you’re paying for. I don’t do this for the money. Most orders I make about $2-5/hour, even when they may seem expensive. On average, I spend 30-60 minutes researching and planning your order, an hour communicating with you, an hour shopping for ingredients and supplies, and 4-6 hours baking and decorating your cake/cupcakes. That doesn’t include my fuel or hydro.

I’m a mom of 4, who also works. I don’t own a store, I do this out of my kitchen. I took time off from this because I couldn’t fit it in anymore, but finally managed to find the time for it because it’s what I love doing. I’m an artist. I always have been.

I’ve had customers who need to pick up orders when I’ve been at work or unable to be home, many times over the years. I’ve always trusted them to send their emt, and I’ve left their orders at my house for pick up without me there. Unfortunately, I can’t do that anymore. Even with a deposit, it often doesn’t cover all of the costs, and certainly not the time I invest.

E-transfers for your remaining balance must be received prior to pick up. And if we need to arrange a time when I won’t be home, the payment must be made the night before.

Happy February!
What better way to start the month than with the promise of an early spring, and 3 more cake orders ☺️ Here’s the chocolate brownie Baby Bum cake I did for a shower; 3 dozen galaxy themed carrot, chocolate brownie, and vanilla cupcakes; and a Power Rangers confetti birthday cake and cupcakes.
