I finally finished my 2025 crochet blanket project. I chose the Animal Blanket by and it didn’t disappoint! This is an old CAL (Crochet Along), but it was a different animal every month for a year. I added some additional ones of my own by freestyling and I love them all! I have yet to finish my blankets in the year in which they are started but I think January is close enough and allows me to confidently put it in the win column LOL My kiddos are thrilled, and I’m happy to add to our collection.

I haven’t made a holiday themed ear flap hat in a bit, but 9 times out of 10 when I do, it’s for my husband and at his request. Lol we have a big week ahead of us (followed by some big months) and he asked for a St. Patrick’s Day hat which I was only too happy to make happen for him. We need joy wherever we can find it, after all.

My baby girl turned 6 yesterday so of course I had to make some cookies and a Bluey themed cake to go with it. I added some fun, classic Bluey sayings that had her laughing and she requested a vanilla cake with a rainbow and sprinkles. I added the sprinkles hidden inside the top layer as a surprise once the cake was cut and it was amazing! (I’m hoping there’s a pic of it somewhere because I forgot to take one lol)

I started this year long Crochet Along one year ago this past week and I’m VERY proud to say it is officially done! The actual pattern calls for 12 creature squares only (1 a month) but I wanted a bigger blanket and so added empty “bubble” squares. All totaled, I have 28 squares and 4 very excited kiddos LOL.

The last 3 pics are the squares finally positioned how I wanted them, then joined together and then with the added border. This was a labor of love and I’m thrilled my kiddos will have it as a keepsake (I’m thinking of making them all blankets for their future selves. We’ll see) 💕😊

I love this final product! (Even though my pics/vids aren’t the greatest lol). It gave me focus during some weird/hard times and it brings me joy right now).

My personal challenge this year was to follow and complete the Under the Sea CAL with before 2024 ended, and I’m happy to report that, as of today, I did (most of) it!! It was a new creature pattern a month culminating in a blanket. While the blanket itself isn’t done, I’m still proud of myself for finishing the initial 12 creature squares! I’m giving myself grace and allowing myself to put this in the “win column”. I’ll join them together for the new year (and maybe add some bonus creatures) but I’m still proud of myself. 😊 ⭐️ 🪼🐙🦀🐢🐟🐳🦭🦈🐡

I set a personal goal for myself to have these holiday themed ready for my kids to use by the first school day of December and, I’m proud to say, I did it! I completed the last one tonight. My girls opted for red and white like a candy cane and my boys chose green and red like Christmas lights. Each kiddo also chose their own Christmas buttons. This is one of my fave beanie patterns and I can’t wait to see my kiddos’ little heads warm and festive tomorrow!

It was lovely being able to fulfill this order of a blanket an cat stuffy for an incoming new baby girl! The pastel pink and cozy cream colors lend themselves to the calm and sweetness that newborns bring. I’m so grateful I get to share my creations with different families and help to add to the adorable that already exists. 💕😊 (True talk: I’m not the best at photographing blankets but I think it still works lol)

It’s the eve of my littlest guy’s birthday, so I’m back on my sugar cookie BS 🤪. Seriously, though, he’s having a soccer themed birthday so pitches were a must then his older brother asked if we could do some Argentinian flags because that’s their fave team (Messi is obviously their fave player). So here we are. He’s a very happy almost 8 year old right now 😊⚽️🇦🇷
