Last month I made a Korovai for my dance group, not something so make often, but it’s an enjoyable process!

A korovai is a large, highly decorated traditional round bread from Eastern Europe—most famously in Ukrainian wedding traditions—that symbolizes community blessings, prosperity, and the uniting of two families.

Lviv Dance Ensemble uses a Korovai in their welcome dance at the opening of all shows to welcome the audience into our “home”.
