When I went to Paris, almost a decade ago, I kept seeing these little pastries everywhere. They were just puff pastry, rolled, then folded and coated in sugar. They were pretty, sure, but they didn’t look like anything special, and I didn’t understand what all the fuss was about.

“Give me a macaron” I said,
“I’ll take an almond croissant”, “Grab me one of those pain au chocolat.”
“Financiers! Madeleines!”

I finally ordered one, dipped it in my cafe au lait and was changed forever.

They are called Palmiers. They are simple, delicate, and divine.

They, are Paris.

Hi Friends!!

Meet the newest addition to the bake shop! Her name is Helena Rain, and for short we call her Lenny. :) We could not love her more.

We’ve had a lot going on these past few months! Besides the new addition, we also moved to a new home! It is such a special place, and we’re loving getting settled in here!

My first order of business was obviously to christen the house with bread and croissants! It felt amazing! This house should always smell like breads and pastries. It suits it perfectly!

Hope everyone is happy and healthy! (And staying cool in this 40 degree heat!!)
