Open Wednesday to Saturday 10 am to 5pm for French lunches, and patisserie, Special day on Saturday with artisanal croissants.

Fun Fact French Friday...
Menton on the Cote d'Azur is home to a very special lemon: sweet, tangy and aromatic. Chef Jean Marc has crafted his lemon tart (tarte au citron) from his experience in the south of France for his unique lemon curd in this heart-shaped delight.

Chef Marc Colagreco has the restaurant Mirazur (Michelin 3 stars) and Mitron Bakery, and Chef Jean-Marc appreciates how the Menton lemons are part of the cusine.

We don't have to travel to France to experience the special feeling of the pastel villas of Menton, just sit on the patio of L'auberge de France with an espresso, Jean Marc's tarte au citron and feel the warmth of the Mediteranean.

Fun Fact French Friday-
L'auberge is also a boulangerie and boulanger, Bill crafts 80 loaves and eight different breads every Saturday morning.

My favourite is the Siciliano ( pane Siciliano) with its firm crust and the black and white sesame seeds on top, a soft chewy interior - take it home warm make toast the day or freeze it.

Bill begins on Thursday with the prefermentation , Friday he adds the olive oil, salt, water and early Saturday morning he shapes the dough into "S" to represent the "eyes of Saint Lucy", the patron saint of the blind.

Saturday morniing is a special time at the L'auberge , the aroma of freshly baked bread, steaming coffees , flaky croissants and many smiling faces.
