I know what you’re going to say.
“Come on, Levantic. Haven’t we had enough of these nice customer posts?”
But honestly, I can’t help it.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed by how disconnected everything feels. We struggle to talk to strangers, sometimes even avoid people we know, and so much of life now happens behind a screen.
And then there’s this little bakery.
We talk to people every day. We hear their stories, their little life updates, and somehow, without realizing it, they become part of our lives.
And then someone comes in asking for the names of everyone who works here. Even the people who are behind the scenes. They wrote the most beautiful note with all our names, brought us flowers, and went out of their way simply to make our day.
And it reminded me of something.
What makes Levantic special has never just been what happens inside. It’s the people behind the counter, the people in the kitchen, and the people who walk through our doors. Somehow, what makes this place special is shared between the inside and the outside.
I’ll be honest. Sometimes I lose a little hope in people. I worry about the kind of world we’re leaving for our kids.
Then someone does something like this, and I believe in people a little more.
So thank you! I say it again and again, but I can’t help but acknowledge all the acts of kindness we see every day.
