It breaks my heart to make this announcement because I enjoyed my little cake corner at SinomonFood.inc in the heart of the Beaurepaire village so much! But unfortunately Sinomon will be closing after Christmas and so will I. It was a real pleasure to serve the Beaurepaire community, especially all my “regulars”, who I loved to chat with, to share stories and to somehow be part of each other’s lives. You all supported me so much throughout the last 2 years and helped me to make my dream of a small bakery become true. Thank you so much for that and your precious loyalty, which meant a lot to me especially during times of Covid and being a small local business.
I will use my vacation in January to think about my next steps and for the meantime wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a great start into 2023!
My last days at the store will be this Friday 11:30-6pm and Saturday 11:30-3pm. Please swing by and check out the available last-minute Christmas goodies or just come for a “good-bye”. But as I'm a strong believer in the German saying “you always meet twice in life” I'm very positive and know that something new will come up!

It’s less than 2 weeks until Christmas and I assume all of you are looking forward to the holidays! If you wish to sweeten up the remaining time before Christmas, check out my specials for this week!
This week’s offerings include the famous Black Forest Cake with real Kirsch, whipped cream, sour cherries and dark chocolate. And for the last time of this year my best-selling Lemon Meringue Cake will also be on the menu, a great light and not-so-sweet dessert. Your other options are a Mango Cheesecake or an Apricot or Blueberry Crumble Cake.
If you haven’t tried the festive traditional German Stollen yet, be quick to order one! It uses dried fruits and lemon/orange peel soaked in rum for several weeks, so once our stock is gone, that’s it with Stollen for this season!

Please pre-order at 514-318-4722 or [email protected] before Wednesday Dec. 14 for this week’s cake and before Friday Dec 16 for next week’s treats. Due to the high demand, please understand that I won't be able to accept any new orders after this Friday!

But you can of course always swing by our store on 452 Beaconsfield Blvd, Friday 11:30-6pm and Saturday 11:30-3pm to select from the available variety of cakes and other goodies. There'll also be fresh organic breads, savoury snacks and Pretzel buns available!

My story

Do you remember the feeling of rushing into your grandma’s kitchen and being lulled by the fragrance of a freshly baked cake, that she just took out of the oven? It sits there on the counter and your mouth is watering waiting for it to cool down…

With my homemade cakes I hope to bring those marvelous moments and authentic tastes to you! Be it at family gatherings, over a chat with your friend, at a dinner invitation or for a well-deserved coffee break during a busy day, there should always be time to indulge yourself in a delicious piece of cake!

My cakes follow recipes which were passed on by my grandmother to my mother and then to me. They are extremely tasty, made from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients without any preservatives or artificial flavours and using a reduced amount of sugar.
