It is with a heavy heart that I am advising I will no longer be taking orders for cakes. Due to the many life changes I've experienced in 2016, I simply no longer have the time to dedicate to Monycakes that is required. Thanks to all my loyal customers over the last 6 years, it's been a pleasure and a privelege to help you celebrate the special events in your lives. I will keep my page up and post any creations I make for friends and/or family for any of you cake fans out there that are interested in seeing them.

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to advise I will be taking a hiatus from making cakes from now until September.
Just need to take a break. I'll continue to post if I come up with any cool creations for friends or family ☺

This cake was for Donna's 80th birthday! She likes singing & playing piano as well as knitting and here is my homage to her in cake form, lol.

Now consider this....since MY hobby is making cakes, I guess my own cake homage would be a cake that looks like a cake??? Seems too easy, lol.

Anyways, I hope it's a special day for a special lady and that this cake brings a smile to her face ☺

Happy 8th birthday to my own little man Kalen! He has had an extended birthday week and today was the finale. This is also what happens when your son wants a YouTube icon cake then changes his mind to Minions after you've already baked it.
I think we salvaged it, in the end 😊

This Bubble Guppies inspired cake was for the little boy of a friend of mine. The birthday boy was pretty excited when I saw him; hope he liked the cake too ☺

This one was a birthday cake for the grandson of a co-worker. This one is covered in Italian buttercream instead of fondant, with fondant overlay for the decorations. Smoothing buttercream to look as clean as fondant is always a challenge but I'm happy with how it turned out.

This cake was for a co-workers granddaughter Jordy. The inside was a rainbow effect so if I can get a photo of that I'll include it later.

Time really does fly! It certainly doesn't seem like 2 years ago that I made her this Toopy & Binoo cake!

This was a birthday cake for Autumn and the request was to have her horse "Sunshine" incorporated in the design. So fun to make these cute animal toppers 🌞
