Established in 2008, we Dennis and Anja Donkers pride ourselves in everything that we make and sell. From a wide variety of fresh, baked goods, which are based on recipes and made from scratch, our creations are sure to leave a lasting, mouthwatering experience. Birthday Cakes to Wedding Cakes, a large selection of pastries, squares, cookies and

muffins, everyday freshly sliced breads, our famous Dutch import products to fresh sandwiches. Our team at the Barrhead Bakery welcome the opportunity to meet you. Come check us out on Main Street in Barrhead.

To our valued customers:

It's official, the bakery has been sold. This was not an easy decision to make, but one we had to make. No, we are not moving, staying on the farm, Barrhead is our home. It will be a big adjustment and although we will probably not miss the early mornings, long days and the busyness of the bakery, we will miss the social aspect of it, the contact with our customers. Over the last 17 years we have build many great relationships with staff and customers. We've seen kids grow up, shared funny stories, had serious conversations, hugged after sad stories, talked cattle prices and hockey results, saw pictures of grandchildren, etc. And we would not have had it any other way!
This Friday, February 20, we will have a customer appreciation day with coffee and donuts. Our last day open will be Wednesday February 25. The bakery will then be closed for a few days and reopen on Wednesday March 4 under new ownership. We wish Lucas and Tianna the best of luck going forward with the bakery and hope our customers will be as good to them as you were to us!
