Here we are… posting about this AGAIN.
This happened to us on Friday at our Blue Mountain location.
We’ve already spoken publicly about our signs being knocked over, damaged and messed with -and unfortunately, it has happened again!!
At this point, this isn’t about a sign accidentally falling over. Someone has run through, hit or deliberately interfered with our signage.
And I know some people will look at this and think, “It’s just a sign.”
But small business owners know there is no such thing as “just a sign.”
These are commercial signs. They are NOT cheap.
The sign costs money.
The printing costs money.
The repairs cost money.
The replacement costs money.
And the time spent dealing with it costs money.
When you’re a small, family-run business, there isn’t some huge corporation sitting behind you absorbing those expenses. It comes directly out of our business.
We work hard for what we have. We employ people. We pay rent, wages, utilities, insurance, supplies and countless other expenses -and then we’re expected to continually replace things because someone decides to damage them.
And I KNOW other small business owners can relate.
Vandalism. Theft. Property damage. Rising costs. Slow days. Unexpected expenses. And somehow you still unlock those doors the next morning, put a smile on your face and keep going.
So instead of letting this be another negative thing, I want to turn it into something positive.
To our Angus community -if you’ve been meaning to come see us, come grab a coffee or pastry this week. Bring a friend. Tell someone about us. Our Angus location could really use some extra local love right now. ❤️
To everyone visiting Blue Mountain -come find our little hidden spot and support the team there.
And if you can’t visit either location, share this post.
Share it for us, but also share it for every small business owner who has ever walked into work, seen something damaged and thought:
“Seriously? Another expense?”
Behind every small business is a real family, real employees and real people trying incredibly hard to make it work.
We shouldn’t have to keep asking this, but:
Please leave our property and our signs alone.
And to everyone who continues to support us, share our posts, recommend us, and show up for our little business -thank you. It means more than you probably realize. ❤️
