What would your expectations be?

Would you expect a full refund, a complimentary replacement, a discount, or simply understand that some things are beyond a business’s control?

I’ve been holding onto this for a little while. ❤️

On August 24th, shortly after losing my mom, I received an email letting us know that Greekery had won Platinum in 11 categories in the 2026 CommunityVotes Simcoe County Awards.

It was the first piece of good news I had received during one of the hardest times of my life.

I remember reading it and feeling so many emotions. I was grateful. I was proud. But I was grieving, and I just wasn’t ready to celebrate or share it.

So I held onto it.

And today, I finally feel ready. ❤️

Greekery has always been incredibly personal for me. It’s our family business. You’ve watched us grow from baking, to opening Angus, to Blue Mountain, our mobile café and some pretty incredible events along the way. You’ve also supported us through the difficult seasons that you don’t always see behind the counter or on Instagram.

So this isn’t just an award post.

It’s a THANK-YOU post.

Thank you for voting for us. Thank you for walking through our doors. Thank you for telling your friends about us, supporting our team, trying our crazy creations and continuing to choose our little family business.

And thank you for giving me a little piece of good news during a time when I really needed one. ❤️

The last couple of months have been incredibly difficult for me personally. There have been days when I’ve simply had to keep going, even when my heart wasn’t completely in it.

Maybe that’s why this particular recognition will always mean a little more to me.

Thank you for voting for something I started and have poured so much of myself into. Thank you for supporting Costa and I, our family and our incredible team. And thank you for continuing to give Greekery the opportunity to grow.
