It has taken me a while to figure out the right words for how I’m feeling. It has also taken me a while to figure out if I should close down completely or keep our cookie adventure running.
As most of your probably know by now we also run in Brooklin, which features over 75 local handmade vendors; including our cookies.
What some of you may not know is we will be opening up a second location in Bowmanville come April 2020.
We are over the moon thrilled by this and the support we have received not just now, but over the years from all of you. Not just the support of buying our products, but the liking, sharing, mentioning etc. We wouldn’t all be here today with out that.
With that being said something sadly needs to give, as I can’t keep doing it all. I also have a 2 and 4 year old and my own mental health to think of.
At first I was going to completely close Dream Day Cookies, but this made me sad. This was where I started and I still love making cookies. So at this point in time we are going to temporarily close the business for a minimum of 6 months.
I’m hoping once the new store opens, I will get a little bit of free time and can do some pop ups in the stores here and there with cookies. I will of course pop up for Christmas too, just in smaller batches.
I really just want to thank you all though, your part of the reason I keep going and get up in the morning. When I say I wouldn’t be here without all of you a truly mean that. Your also part of the reason I don’t want to close down my business, as your all so loving and supportive.
So make sure you pop by this week to snag some cookies before there all gone, as we won’t be making anymore for a while.
Thanks again everyone 😘 and see you at the store!
