As a child, Jamila loved to watch her mother, Cheryl, when she was baking. As a result, she learned to bake tasty Barbadian delights like Coconut Turnovers, Sweet Bread, Black Rum Fruit Cake and other delicious cakes. Jamila did not stop there. She took her love of baking to another level by teaching herself to decorate these treats and turn them into delectable works of art. After her munchkins (
as she lovingly calls her children), were born, Jamila started baking for their birthday parties. She always received high praise on how beautiful their celebration cakes were and how unique and useful her favors were. This motivated her to share her gift with the world, and The Purple Pineapple Cakery and Event Planning came to life. Everything is made of fresh, quality ingredients and are all baked to order from scratch. Formerly JAE's Sweets and Stuff, Jamila invites you to embrace your inner sweetness. The business has been rebranded but the quality remains.
