October is Intimate Partner Violence awareness month and it couldn’t come at a better time to band together and support the women in our communities that have experienced or are experiencing violence within (and outside of) the home. For the last number of years, we have partnered with Purple Lights Nights through the month of October to amplify the work that they are doing in our community alongside the beautiful work of SARA for Women and Archway Community Services 💜
For the month of October, you will see these coffee sleeves on our to go cups that include a QR code that lists resources available in our community. Please take a moment to educate yourself and reach out to these wonderful organizations if you or anyone you know is in need of help.
As well, we would love for you to join us on October 21 at 7pm to ‘take back the night’ and walk in solidarity with those that have experienced s*xual and domestic voilence. The Take Back the Night movement has been happening since the 70s as a way for women to reclaim the streets and demand safety from violence and harassment when walking alone at night.

We will start with drink service available at the cafe (with every penny going towards Purple Lights Nights ) and walk through downtown Abbotsford from there.
