A sweet aunty ordered this cake for her daughter. Her daughter lives abroad and was visiting Dhaka during her birthday. So she wanted to make the day special. I’m glad she chose The Baking Pit for the event. Aunty picked the design and colors herself. She later called to share her story with me and appreciated my work and the fact that I delivered the cake in person.
These tiny little things mean a lot. Probably why I still keep doing it with a full time corporate job and a toddler.

You can choose any flavor for the base, topped with smooth and might vanilla buttercream with buttercream watercolor like swatches, our melt in the mouth macarons, and minimal handmade flowers… seems to be a good balance between decadent and modern sugar work. 👌

Our Story

Self taught baker Adeeba Ibnat owns The Baking Pit and has been operating since 2013 from her kitchen studio in Banani, Dhaka.

The Baking Pit’s goal is to bring the goodness of homemade baking into artisan desserts. We strive to provide our valued customers with quality, made from scratch treats that keep our customers coming back for more. Our custom made desserts for any occasion are baked fresh daily, using only the best ingredients. With several custom made cakes,decadent desserts, we bake French macarons which the baker learned during her time in Paris.

History The Baking Pit’s humble beginnings started with the owner Adeeba Ibnat baking at home while still a grad student. She was interested in art & crafts from childhood. She planned to incorporate baking and artistry to bake customized desserts. With the support of her family and friends and dear customers she hasn’t stopped after graduation. Now she works a full time job and owns her own dream business.
