I grew up watching and helping my mother bake from scratch using fresh ingredients. The most memorable thing from my childhood baking was helping my mom with making cakes and pies. Honestly, as a young girl I had no intension of baking at that time. I would patiently stand around the kitchen counter, armed with a spoon and devour the batter that my mother would save for me in the bowl. At that tim

e I never thought I would fall in love with baking! I started making cupcakes for friends, family and colleagues for their birthdays and special occasions. I soon realized that baking is something I really enjoy doing for others that made them smile and feel extra special. An afternoon spent whipping up cupcakes, cookies and pies doesn’t just make the kitchen smell amazing; it also helps alleviate my stress. I have fallen back in love with this age old hobby for a simple reason……..it makes me HAPPY.
