Two years ago, just starting out, I cried actual tears over a red cake because the colour was so darn hard to achieve. Last night, it took me just 10 minutes to get the perfect red I was looking for. I knew exactly how much, and which colours to combine.

I may be happily creating one cake after another these days but so much time, effort and stress has gone into each of them. Nothing has taught me quite as much as this little passion project. Nothing has made me prouder.

Though in small doses (all that colour can't be good for the body), I highly recommend a red cake once in a while. There's really no colour more regal than a deep beautiful red. And you could give me a chance to work with my new favourite ;)

P. S. Everything I make this month will be an emotional journey because soon, it'll be time for me to take a little break from caking.
