A reflection on parenting and Faith
As thoughtful mamas, we aim to raise our children with strong values, hoping they grow up kind, disciplined, and compassionate. In a disconnected world, we focus on helping them become the best versions of themselves, teaching kindness, humanity, and faith.
These values come from Islamic teachings, where time is a precious gift we shouldn’t waste. We are reminded that on the Day of Judgment, Allah SWT will ask how we spent the time He gave us. Such a powerful reminder. It makes me feel fearful.
As our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,
Take advantage of five before five: your youth before old age, your health before sickness, your wealth before poverty, your free time before busy time, and your life before death.
(Hadith, Al-Hakim)
May Allah (SWT) bless us to perform our best in the holy month of Ramadan Kareem.
