Hi, I’m Soph - the face, hands, and heart behind Soph Bakehouse! ❤️‍🔥

Now that we’ve officially launched, I thought it was time to say a proper hello and share a little about the cookie-loving chaos behind the scenes.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 I’m a part-time Health & Safety Advisor, full-time mum to my sassy 3.5-year-old Tilly and wife to my supportive husband, Ben.
🇬🇧 Originally from the UK, I moved to Alice Springs with my parents and three sisters in 2006, then made Darwin home in 2012. I’ve now lived in Australia longer than I lived in England… so I reckon that makes me a Territorian (right?).
🎉 With a background in office management and event planning, I’ve always loved organising parties - and now I get to combine that with cookies! Expect lots of themed treats coming your way.
🎓 After finishing my Cert IV in WHS last year, I found myself with a bit of spare time… and a shiny new mixer gifted by Ben. Let’s just say things escalated quickly….

🍪 So, how did Soph Bakehouse come to life?
It all started with a fundraiser at work. I baked cookies to help raise money for The Smith Family and ended up raising $1000! Word spread, orders rolled in, and I realised this little hobby had legs.
Being a stickler for doing things properly (hello, H&S brain), I registered my business and kitchen with the health department - and just like that, Soph Bakehouse was born. ✨

Thank you for being here and supporting this sweet little dream. I can’t wait to bake for you! ❣️
