Burra Bakehouse | Yungaburra, Atherton Tablelands
We're looking for a passionate and organised Pastry Chef to join our growing artisan bakery team.
This is a part-time position with a guaranteed 35 hours per week.
The role includes:
✨ Cakes, pastries, tarts & patisserie production
✨ Cake decorating & finishing
✨ Production planning and stock control
✨ Preparing products for our daily display
✨ Working alongside our bread and pastry team
✨ Working alongside our bread and pastry team
We’re looking for someone who can work well as part of a small team but is also confident working independently, managing their own production and taking pride in consistent, high-quality work.
📍 Location: Yungaburra, QLD
🌏 88 days regional work eligible
🥐 Pastry experience preferred
💪 Reliable, organised & hands-on
👩‍🍳 Formal qualification preferred, but practical experience will be considered

New Opening Hours!
Thanks to your incredible support, we're updating our trading hours to better suit when our customers love to visit us.
From Wednesday, 19 August, our new opening hours will be:
🕖 Wednesday–Sunday | 7:00am – 2:00pm
Previously, we were open:
• Wednesday–Friday: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Saturday–Sunday: 6:00am–12:00pm
We've found there's less demand in the early morning, while many more of you are visiting later in the day — especially on weekends. By opening at 7:00am and staying open until 2:00pm every day, we can better cater to our customers and give you more time to enjoy your favourite pastries, pies, coffee, and sourdough.
We understand this change may affect some of our early morning customers, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and support as we make this change to better meet the needs of our community.
