“Hey - I’ve got this friend I’m hoping you’ll hire. Sure, he’s a convicted felon but it’s only really felonies for business fraud. Ok, he’s also had to pay $hundreds of millions in fines for misusing charity funds, money laundering & some other minor stuff. And yes he’s been convicted of sexual assault & has bragged about grabbing women by the p^$$y, & how he thinks his daughter is sexy, but he’s really just a great guy’s guy. Oh & I probably should mention he did declare bankruptcy 6 times, doesn’t take loss well, tried to get his last partner hung & prevent a legally elected government from getting certified. But he wants to round up migrants & get them thrown out of the country with no legal process & have them thrown in jail for 10 years if they dare come back & have them put to death if they commit a violent crime, so … yay. And he wants to get rid of pretty much all those pesky checks & balances that stop one person from having ultimate power in the country so he can do what he wants without anyone getting in his way. And he’ll be sure to hire his family & rich friends, even though they have no qualifications, but that just proves he cares right? And he’s got awesome ideas, like raising the prices of imports to make money - I mean I know that the companies that bring in those items will pass the cost onto us, but hey that just means they will make more money & that helps America right? Oh & when you meet him… look, he’s a bit ummm weird. He does have a tendency to ramble about windmills killing birds, & sharks vs batteries in a sinking boat, & flushing toilets 10 times & other stuff like that. But he’s a funny funny guy! And he’s the best at making up names & insulting people. He even insults all his friends to their face & they laugh & laugh & laugh. Funny guy! So… when can he start?”
Let’s be real - you wouldn’t let a guy like that work in your business. So why would you let him run your country?
