This September, the Crescent Bakery Family will be taking part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk for World Su***de Prevention Day, walking in memory of the people we have loved and lost to su***de, and in support of those who may be struggling today.

Behind every statistic is a person.
A life that mattered.
A family that loved them.
A story that deserved a different ending. 💔

We walk for the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, partners, friends and colleagues whose lives were taken too soon. We walk for the people who are still here, fighting battles that others may never see.

And we walk with hope, hope that no one has to face their darkest moments alone. Hope that when someone reaches out for help, someone will be there to answer.

Walking to Remember. Walking to Make a Difference.

I’m walking to honour the lives of the family and friends we have lost to su***de and to help support Australians who are struggling and in crisis.

Every year, more than 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own lives, while more than 3,000 Australians tragically die by su***de. Behind every number is a person, a family, and a community left grieving.

Lifeline receives more than one million contacts from people reaching out for support each year. Their work provides a vital lifeline to people experiencing some of their darkest moments.

This September, I’ll be taking part in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk around World Su***de Prevention Day. I’ll be walking in memory of the 9 Australians lost to su***de every day, and in honour of the friends, family and loved ones whose lives have been forever changed by su***de.

I’m raising funds to help Lifeline continue providing crisis support, su***de prevention services and a listening ear to Australians when they need it most.

If you’re able to support my walk, every donation big or small can make a difference. Your support will help Lifeline be there for someone who may feel like they have nowhere else to turn.
