Initially I was going to close this Friday - but I've decided to switch to contactless porch pick up for this Friday the 4th and Friday the 11th of Sept.

I apologise for the delay in getting my menu out, crazy time of year!

If you'd like to spontaneously order a sourdough banana bread or Jalapeño Cheddar this week, orders are now open!

It's the weekend and my menu for Sept is still pending! I'm just waiting to see which weeks my husband will be travelling.

I will be CLOSED this Friday - however I've managed to pickup a box of banana's so I'm just waiting for them to go a little brown and then I'll post a flash sale within the next 5-8 days.

Friday is here! Das Brot is open 10am until 2pm today for your pre-order pickups! Some spares but not much today.

Spotlight on the Spelt loaf, I baked this First early this morning as it was growing nice and big from beautiful fermentation.

Please let me know if you need contactless pickup today as I have to close sharply at 2p today!

Good morning!
Thanks for your pre-orders. I'm open 10am until 2pm today. I have some spares pictured (plus mini chocolate chip not pictured). Comment if you'd like to hold anything. Porch pick up is available all afternoon if you can't make it before 2pm.

I haven't made the hot cross bun sourdough sandwich for a while and didn't anticipate how sloooow it would be to rise. 15 hours and counting. Heater is ramped up so time will fix this - Thanks for everyone picking this up a little later.

If you're wanting to try the Seeded 100% Rye sourdough for Friday the 7th, please could you order online at dasbrot.com.au by 8pm tonight. Or send me a direct message to pay cash / card on Friday.

I make these monthly as it's 4 days total - from start to finish.

It's seeded rye because there are soaked sunflower seeds inside. The pepitas on the outside come with it by default but they are optional ! (but so so crunchy and flavoursome). Let me know if you'd like yours coated in rye flour instead, there is a box you can click online too :))

Chocolate sourdough linzer cookies!

I tweaked my usual sourdough sugar cookie recipe for these ones - I reduced the sugar, replaced some flour with cocoa & added some dark chocolate to Nutella for the centre so it would set hard but still taste like Nutella.

This was actually not too sweet!

My new favourite little treat. Who'd like to see these at Das Brot? :))

Ingredients : butter, flour, cocoa, egg, sugar, sourdough starter, salt, vanilla extract, Nutella, dark chocolate, icing sugar.
