Blessing Of The Fleet πŸ™Œ

A honour to be apart of this is a yearly event which celebrates our local emergency services heroes being blessed ahead of the season ahead at City of Whittlesea Council Offices.

With this year being it's 30th Anniversary on Saturday where the weather gave it's own blessing ahead of the formal welcoming

A very special event to have been apart of with a traditional customised very large & heavy rectangle cake with vintage shell piping around the top and a matching satin ribbon and 200 matching cookies created for the day's celebrations.

Special mention to my men for helping pack all the cookies & lifting the extra long cake x

National Finalist

I honestly had to read my email twice to check this was correct.
I'm so proud to be in a category that is an extra feather in my creative baker's cap.

Many of you may not know I am a self taught sugar artist modelling creations visually,with trial and error till I see each unique design brought to life.

Each of them is part of me as I love them all dearly like my decorated cakes and it was so hard to select one creation to feature on my finalist post.

This year the selection process is different and a position I've not been in before.

My fate is in the Australian Cake Decorating Network cake members/community who would have received a unique voting link, as the pollies say Vote 1 for Always Time For Cake you have until 12 October to cast your votes. πŸ—³ 🀞

I've been very lucky to have created many varying birthday cakes for beautiful Grant this year's request Diddles The Cat from the ever popular ABC's Play School a blended design of buttercream, fondant & a playful gold bell around her neck.
.....it's Diddles The Cat how cool, thanks Kathy whilst mum Ros was smiling from ear to ear.

With those words, my heart is full, knowing I did my job πŸ’™πŸˆβ€β¬›οΈ
