We’ve been a little quiet on Facebook lately, but we certainly haven’t been quiet behind the scenes!

There’s been plenty happening at APD, from movie days, bowling group and getting creative at Art Group 🎨, to Cooking creations 👩‍🍳, celebrating some very special participant birthdays 🎂, and lots of everyday adventures out and about in the community.

Sometimes the best moments are the simple ones sharing a meal, trying something new, having a laugh, getting out into the community or spending time with people who make your day a little brighter.

Our groups are designed to support social connection, confidence building, community participation and skill development in a relaxed and welcoming environment 😊

Groups are kept smaller where possible to help ensure participants feel comfortable and supported.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mums, carers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our community 💐

On Friday, some of our participants and staff celebrated a little early with a beautiful high tea at Trilogy 101 hospitality, filled with lovely food, great company, and plenty of laughs.

Today we celebrate the love, strength, patience, and support you provide every single day. Whether you’re caring for children, family members, friends, or those around you, your impact never goes unnoticed.

There’s been a lot of talk recently about changes to the NDIS, and we know it can feel confusing or even a bit worrying.
We wanted to share this simple “easy read” update to help break things down. The main takeaway right now is that there are no big immediate changes, and most of what’s being discussed is still in early stages.
What this means for you:
✔️ Your current supports continue as normal
✔️ There’s time to prepare for any future changes
✔️ We’re here to guide and support you every step of the way

Please note our office will be closed from Friday the 3rd April to Monday the 7th over the Easter long weekend, reopening on Tuesday.
We wish all of our participants, families, and supports a safe and happy Easter 💛
