✨AN HONEST POST ✨
My TM7 journey so far…
To be quite transparent I dislike change. It scares me and makes me want to remain in the comfort zone. So this new machine while it’s exciting, I’m just unsure. I haven’t see it all or practiced enough. That’s not a reflection on the tm7 but of my own feelings.
There’s such emphasis of new and improved but my tm6 didn’t feel it needed changing. I grew fond of my tm6 and fell in love watching other customers light up with curiosity.
As I play around with the tm7 to experience the NEW I’m reminded that this isn’t a JUST ANY UPDATE… it’s Thermomix like never before. It’s about expanding on kitchen curiosity, creativity, new technology, an expansion of new modes and a chance to explore new ways of cooking.
I truly believe my first love, the tm6, will always be there. But the tm7 is about a whole different approach and with that comes learning and growth. Look at it this way tm6 is the model you explore with & the one that has everything you need for good food, saving time & cooking new recipes but the tm7 is about expansion, inspiration and manual learning.
The large screen and innovative technology is quite impressive, as it guides you right there with the touch screen. I think it’s vast range of possibilities has me excited to learn a whole different approach.
I still have my learners on for the tm7. Trying to figure out how this can help my unique needs of …my way of cooking. Which will vary with each person.
The things I’m excited about are…
- The open cooking mode for more reconnection to the process of creating. I can stir as it cooks like therapy and taste as I go.
- The browning mode to get more flavour from caramelisation.
- What possibilities are to come from this machine? it’s 5 pins on the bowl but 6 pins in the machine base.
- Exploring this machine in ways I can adjust to my needs. To expand my knowledge of cooking through precision new ways. Using manual methods than relying on guided techniques.
- Sparking my creativity again. As the tm6 was second nature this tm7 is returning me back to basics. Taking more moments to learn than be in auto mode.
These are just some of my excitements. If you want to hear more - connect with me through a message or phone call.
Thermomix pride itself on each model (Even the tm31 model in 2004 is still loved by many households) They listened closely to the customers needs from the last tm6 model. While I’m still in the process of building my connection to tm7. I can tell this journey is going to be expanding and create a whole different kinda of love!
So I would love to hear your thoughts? What are you excited for? Who’s wants to see the tm7 in action at a demo or workshop?
