We love helping our baking friends tweak and refine recipes... recently Preston flew to the Sunshine Coast to help our mate at the maleny pie guy with his pastry and he was stoked... if you want the OG pastry come in store and grab one of our pies.

I recently teamed up with a kiwi baker friend of mine late one night. a few pies, many words and hundreds of layers later, i now know how to make nz inspired pastry.

still local ingredients, small batch recipes, made with local roasted bone broth right here in the sunshine coast hinterland. with across the ditch style learnings, these are simply the best pies i have ever made.

so, to celebrate, I've coined a new word to be offered to the dictionary publishers worldwide.

ANZICK (australian & new zealand inspired crust knowledge)
/an-zick/ (kiwi accent)
noun
meaning: when australian filling and new zealand pastry wisdoms unite.
example: "i see the maleny pie guy has awesome pastry. i think it's that ANZICK style i read in my dictionary the other day."
