A little update from blue & ruby...
After 9 glorious years of baking cakes for so many celebrations, we've recently decided that we will no longer be taking orders for custom cakes. This is a big one, and a decision that has been mulled over for a few months now. But it feels like the right time to hang up our (custom) apron and focus on other projects.
The past year has been a whirlwind for us, taking over a bricks and mortar deli and foodstore. With the steepest of learning curves, we've somehow managed to continue this brand, and create some amazing cakes from the Stella's Pantry kitchen.
However now - our focus has become blurry, and we cannot give our custom work - and our blue & ruby customers - the love and attention they deserve. The juggle is very real running a business, and now feels like the right time to pass the cake baton onto other local businesses who can do it justice.
To everyone who has trusted us with your most special celebrations - thank you. We've met some beautiful people, travelled to some amazing venues, and been a sweet part of many of life's big milestones. We feel so grateful to have been a small part of something pretty big.
And while this may be the end to custom cakes, keep an eye on our socials for news of bake sales, cake pop-ups and special cake offers... because goodbyes are too hard, so we'll keep one finger in the mixing bowl for now.
All previous enquiries and bookings are not impacted by this news, and will still go ahead as planned x
