To clarify, our intention was never to expose anyone; we are just a small business trying to recover our costs. Huge thanks to everyone who checked in on us. Unfortunately, one week on, that customer has not come forward to settle the bill.

After reviewing our security footage, it looks our new staff member was distracted by requesting a receipt, precisely while the EFTPOS transaction was failing. We have included a blurred image and video of the party below. As a small local business, this hurts. Thank you again for helping us look out for each other. ❤️

Hi ,

On Monday (29/06/2026) at approximately 11:12 am, a family dining at our cafe ordered food and drinks totalling $109.10.

During payment, there appears to have been an honest technical/human error, and unfortunately the EFTPOS transaction was not successfully completed. Our staff mistakenly believed the payment had gone through and only discovered the issue later.

We genuinely believe this was an honest mistake and are simply trying to get in touch with the customers so the payment can be finalised.

As a small, family-run local business, every sale matters. With the rising costs of food, wages and operating expenses, absorbing a loss like this is difficult for us.

If this was you, we would greatly appreciate it if you could send us a private message or call the café so we can resolve the matter.
