Kinglake, we are so excited to be back this Sunday! I’m bringing a very stacked menu, a mix of favourites plus a few specials I’ve been itching to bring up the mountain.

WE MISSED OUR OWN BIRTHDAY! 😅🤣

On the 18th, Boulangère officially turned ONE. One whole year of butter, pastry, markets, very early mornings, mildly unhinged bake nights and the best bunch of Pastry Pals we could have asked for. So, naturally, we’re celebrating with a GIVEAWAY.

This Saturday we’re bringing a seriously stacked pastry lineup to the Diamond Creek Rotary Town Fair.

Tartlets, croissants, twice-baked almond, lemon meringue croissant flans, spiced apple Pain Suisse, Basque cheesecake and plenty more.

Another market, another sell out! WHAT. Even with the rain absolutely bucketing down and Melbourne reminding us that false spring is very much a thing 😂

Thank you to every single person who braved the weather, came by the stall, bought a pastry, said hello, brought a friend or came back for more. We even had pastry pals jump into the stall with us to shelter from the rain and enjoy their pastries, (which honestly made my day). Seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones every market still feels so special, and I’m incredibly grateful for the way you continue to show up for this little business.

Cracked pepper cream cheese, heirloom tomato, basil chimichurri & flaky sea salt 🍅🌿

Saw make something similar on TikTok and immediately wanted to give it a crack. Finding heirloom tomatoes in late August here in Melbourne was the only slight issue 😂

Worth the hunt!

Croissant Brioche Fairy Bread 🌈

Thick cut croissant brioche, vanilla salted American buttercream and 100s & 1000s. Made using our croissant offcuts and, without fail, one of the first things to disappear from the table. A favourite for a reason ✨

A little sad update from us.. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we unfortunately won’t be able to make it to Kinglake Market tomorrow.

This has been such a hard decision to make as a small business owner, and absolutely not one I’ve made lightly. I hate letting people down, especially after all the work that goes into preparing for a market weekend.

I’m so sorry to anyone who was planning to come and see us tomorrow. Please still head along and support the incredible small businesses who’ll be there, and we’ll be back slinging pastries again very soon.
