❤️ A LITTLE LIFE UPDATE FROM COASTAL CAKES ❤️

Things have been a little quiet on the business page over the last few weeks, as after years in the making, we finally enjoyed a much-deserved family holiday down south, exploring the beautiful caves and scenery our stunning South West region has to offer. 🥰

Those who know us personally will understand that October is also always a difficult month for our family, filled with so many mixed emotions. Whilst we celebrate our big boy’s birthday on the 3rd, we also remember our beautiful daughter’s heavenly birthday on the 6th and our precious second son’s heavenly birthday on the 13th (today). ❤️‍🩹

All three occasions are incredibly special to us, and each year I make a cake to mark these milestones, honouring the memories and love that will forever be a part of our family. As we’ve been away, I’ll be sharing these cakes with you over the coming weeks. ❤️

October is also recognised as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to remember the precious babies gone too soon through miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss, including SIDS. For us, this month holds an especially personal meaning as we remember our three little ones we never got to meet, but will love and miss for the rest of our lives. 🦋❤️

Grief and gratitude can exist side by side. We can celebrate the beautiful moments we have whilst still longing for the ones we wish we could have shared with those who are missing.

So, this October, we’re holding our loved ones a little closer, remembering those who should have been here making memories alongside us, and reminding ourselves and others to be a little kinder, a little gentler, and a little more understanding of what people may be carrying silently. 🙏🏻❤️

To anyone else navigating this month with a heavy heart, please know you’re not alone. Your babies matter, your grief matters, and their memories will never be forgotten. 🦋

This little cutie features fluffy vanilla cake filled with the most delicious strawberry Swiss meringue buttercream, all dressed up in the sweetest Strawberry Shortcake theme. 🎀🍰

Finished with pretty piping and all the gorgeous little details to tie it together, this mini cake is just too cute! So pleased with how this one turned out. 😍

✨ A little note about our mini cakes:
Mini cakes come standard in vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, with flavoured fillings available for an additional cost.

🍰 Serves approximately 8 small or 4 large serves.
