We are expecting!!! 🌱
I've been quiet because this first trimester has asked everything of me.
The smell of baking, the thing I love most in the world makes me sick.
Some days getting off the couch is the whole win.
So Chera's is taking a pause.
Not ending. Pausing.
I'm going to use this time to rest. To nourish myself and my family. To think clearly about what kind of business I want to come back to; one that supports our life instead of competing with it.
This was always the goal. I think I just needed a baby to remind me.
Thank you for five consecutive sellouts. For travelling to find me.
For every single order.
For the community that showed up when I ran late and needed help.
You gave me something I'll carry into whatever comes next.

Usually I'm the one covered in flour. Today it was his turn.
My body needed rest. Without me asking, this man picked up the rolling pin and started making chapatis for our family. And that little hand in the corner? She wasn't going to miss out.
I'm learning that building something doesn't always mean being the one standing at the bench. Sometimes it means letting someone else hold the pin while you sit down for the first time all day.
Yesterday was cold and gloomy and I didn't sell out. But people still came. In the wind. In the rain. For cookies from a kitchen in Wagga. That will never get old.

I've been quiet.
Not because I've stopped. But because my body is doing something that requires every bit of energy I have.

Sold out in under two hours.
One of the biggest markets I've done since Chera's began.
I ran late this morning.
Posted a story asking for help.
You turned up and offloaded my car,set up my stall and fold my boxes thank you!!!
The community of Wagga Wagga showed up — and I am so grateful I don't have words for it.
Fresh bakes.
Everything made from scratch at 3am.
This is why I left the uniform.
This exact feeling.
