Community market run by volunteers and stallholders. Market has run for over 20 years. Homemade, crafted, baked, sewn, grown. 20+ stalls including: soaps, candles, jewelry, cards, knits, woolens, socks, cakes, jams, wood crafts, plants, fresh fruit/veg, art, dream catchers, gifts, kids toys, dog coats, blankets, baby items, sausage sizzle, etc. All made locally. 2nd hand book stall runs unless raining. Books donated by stallholders, may include cd's, dvd's, etc. Gold coin donation to purchase. WE DO NOT REQUEST ELECTRONIC PAYMENT. Face to face payment on market day by authorised person only. Cost of a stall is $20 payable on market day (Regular stallholders, invites to pay 3 mths in advance reduced fee). Stall fees go to the council's annual fee to use the space and annual insurance fee. Any profit raised by the market is donated once per year to selected local organisations, charities and/or clubs. In 2015 the market donated $3000 to the Montrose CFA. These funds were donated to go towards building an outdoor BBQ area at the Montrose CFA. A place where volunteers and family could relax and get together. In 2016 the market donated $2000 to Montrose Primary School to help set up a new assistance program.
