The Eco Station

Stock up today (Fri) or tomorrow (Sat) morning, if you can!
From 21st July The Eco Station will have reduced hours of:
Tuesdays 10-4 and
Saturdays 10-1
The wonderful Katharine will be holding down the fort (that is my shop and my house), so please bear with us while she gets to grips with my quirky systems😆

If you can't make those hours, the Blackwood Environment Centre will be open normal hours, so feel free to pop in and leave your order or send her a text (0419 429 997). Katharine will then prepare it when she is next in, for you to collect at your convenience.

I will be back resuming the full Eco Station hours from Tues 8th Sept after reconnecting with family and getting some rest and relaxation.

This week is volunteer week. Contact us at the Blackwood Environment Centre to see how you can be part of our fabulous group of volunteers. Whatever time you have; adhoc, a few hours fortnightly or weekly
and whatever skills or interests, come and have a chat and see if we could be what you are looking for!

Want to help reduce waste, protect the environment, and support future generations? We're looking for volunteers for flexible 2–4 hour shifts. Join a welcoming community of people passionate about sustainability and practical environmental action.

You could help with:
📚 Blackwood Library of Things borrowing support
♻️ Household recycling management
🛠️ General maintenance and Test & Tag
📦 Donation sorting and inventory tasks
🌱 The Eco Station support
💬 Helping visitors and community education

No special experience needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to help. Together we can keep valuable items out of landfill and build a more sustainable future 🌏

Come and check out the Mothers Day Market at 2 Elm Street, Hawthorndene until 3pm today (Sat 9th). Even pick up yourself a treat.

If you need anything from the shop today you can leave your order and I will deliver locally.

The Eco Station and all the volunteers at The Blackwood Environment Centre are taking a break over the long weekend (Fri to Mon). We will be back open on Tuesday 7th at 10am.

Today (Sat 28th) The Eco Station along with some other volunteers from the centre will be at the Zonta Womens' Expo in Mitcham. Catch us there between 11-2 and have your chance to win a membership to the Blackwood Library of Things.
The Blackwood Environment Centre/Library of Things will be open, however if you need to stock up on any items from The Eco Station, you are welcome to leave your order and any containers with them, I will invoice for the items and offer free delivery.

Fantastic to be part of the Eden Hills Primary School Acquaintance Night & Family Picnic. Such a lovely time chatting to the local community and telling them all about what is available at the Blackwood Environment Centre, including information on all sorts of ways to live more sustainably, borrowing from the Library of Things and opportunities to reduce and reuse at The Eco Station

Last day to get any gifts or stock up from The Eco Station!
We are open today until 1pm then closed for Christmas.
Re opening on Tuesday 13th Jan.

If you are stuck for something inbetween time you can text me what you need until Monday 22nd Dec and can deliver locally. Also week of 5th Jan.
